I moved to my dorm today's afternoon. My roomie is a korean girl and she's really nice. She lend me her laptop so I can post this blog. I'm really appreciate her kindness.
We hanged out today and went to the concert at Merkin Concert Hall. I found the concert in the internet in this morning, so I was lucky. It costed $32 but it was so good. It was a chamber music concert and the artists was New York Philharmonic Ensemble. The performance was great. The program includes Webern's "Langsamer Satz". I have written a program note of this tune before so I was so looking forward to listening it. It was surprising that I like a tune by Turina even though I've never heard of his name. It was a good meeting to his music. He studied music in Paris, so we could hear french elements in his music like Debussy, Ravel, or Faure. Anyway I had a good time.
After the concert we had a dinner in a chinese restaurant. I ate noodle with soup and niku-man (I forgot the english name). They were so good, because we are asians, I think.
Tomorrow my school starts. I have to wake up early so I'm thinking of going bed early tonight.
Oh, by the way, staying DC was so great! I went all around the world famous places in DC. Sean guided me all around. It was good. It was windy but sunny day. DC downtown looks like Kyoto I think. The building were quite different of course but the atomosphere was a kind of similar.
Anyway it was a nice stay, and I wanna visit again someday.
